One of the most studiously ignored facts dealing with the War of Northern Aggression is the continued support Abraham Lincoln received from various socialists and communists, both in this country and in Europe, not only during the War, but before it when he ran for president in 1860. Today's court historians, if they bother to mention this at all, do it only in passing, and in such a fashion that most people never pick up on it. That is not entirely without design.
After all, Mr. Lincoln might not look quite as much like the "great emancipator" if people knew he had the support of Karl Marx when he ran for re-election in 1864. He might look appeas quite as much the "champion of freedom" he is mistakenly portrayed as if people realized that he was in support of the Communist and socialist revolts in Europe in 1848, and championed their leadership. After those revolts failed, many of the communists and socialists whose leadership Lincoln championed ended up in this country. They repaid Mr. Lincoln's support for their socialist agenda by working to get him elected president in 1860 and by serving in his armies in high positions.
Now, Walter D. (Donnie) Kennedy and I have teamed up and written a book dealing with this seldom mentioned aspect of the War. In it we bring to light many facts dealing with those socialists and communists that supported Mr. Lincoln and his "holy cause." We have provided background material on many of these men (and some women), documenting their truly revolutionary and anti-Christian worldviews and explaining how they sought to implement their brand of socialism in this country where they failed to do so in Europe, and how, in many ways, they succeeded!
Donnie and I compare Marx's Communist Manifesto with the program enacted by the Lincoln administration. You would be shocked at how many places the two are nearly identical. And you would be shocked also at how many places the comments of Adolf Hitler reflect the thoughts of Abraham Lincoln. This is material the vast majority of your so-called "history" books will never touch. Their authors do not want you to go there, lest you begin to find out what the War of Northern Aggression was really all about.
The titles of a few of the chapters are: Socialist exodus to the United States; Socialist influence in the election of 1860; Support for the Union from Marx and Engels; and Socialist goals in the United States.
At this point, the book is tentatively scheduled for release, hopefully in late August of 2007. It will be approximately 200 pages and will include photographs of several socialists and/or communists in their Yankee uniforms.
The book will sell in hardback for $25 and in paperback for $15 and $3 will need to be added for shipping and handling. Presently, checks should be made out to Ole South Books and mailed to P O Box 55, Sterlington, Louisiana 71280. Orders will be shipped as soon as we get the books in hand.
